What are tokens?
Tokens are small pieces of text. Your prompt uses input tokens, and the model answer uses output tokens. Longer conversations cost more tokens.
When is my balance charged?
Your balance is charged after each successful API request. You can review every request in the Usage page.
Which model should I choose first?
Start with deepseek/deepseek-chat for low-cost chat, bots, and automations. It starts at $0.18 input / $0.36 output per 1M tokens.
What if my request fails?
Failed upstream requests do not keep your reserved credit. Check your API key, model name, balance, and request format.
